Scare Your Neighbor Stats
Scare Your Neighbor stats are built around two different jobs: Speed helps you move through the map and get away with a package, while Scare helps you frighten neighbors successfully. For the safest progression, train both instead of treating one as a replacement for the other.
Speed vs. Scare
| Stat | Main use | Where to improve it | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speed | Movement, escapes, and access to higher areas | Treadmills at your Base; Speed Auras add further movement support | Area or neighbor requirements, plus whether you can return to your Base safely |
| Scare | Frightening a Neighbor and improving the displayed success chance | Scare Trainers or the training mirror; Costumes mainly add Scare support | The target's Scare Chance and any visible Scare requirement |
The game does not present these as interchangeable stats. A high Scare value does not solve a Speed gate, and extra Speed does not automatically make a difficult neighbor easy to frighten.
How to train stats
- Return to your
Baseand use theTreadmillto build Speed when movement, an area gate, or an escape is your immediate problem. - Use the
Scare Traineror mirror to build Scare after you can move around reliably. - Spend
Moneyon a suitableCostumefor more Scare support or aSpeed Aurafor movement support, then equip it before checking the next target. - Visit a
Neighborhood, approach the neighbor, and knock to view the currentScare Chanceor displayed requirement. - Attempt the target only when the chance and your escape route are acceptable. If you succeed, take the
Packageback to yourBase;Speedmatters because police or other neighbors may pursue you.
Train Stats and Buy Scare Your Neighbor Upgrades
These moments show the training and equipment upgrades described in this section, including building Scare before buying Costumes and Speed Auras.
Choosing what to upgrade first
Use the problem in front of you to decide where the next upgrade goes:
- You cannot reach or leave an area safely: prioritize Speed and consider a
Speed Aura. - The neighbor's chance is too low: prioritize Scare and consider a
Costume. - You can scare the neighbor but keep losing the chase: keep the Scare level and raise Speed before attempting another package run.
- A new neighborhood has a visible requirement: meet both displayed stats where possible; raising only one may leave you unable to challenge or escape.
Observed gameplay includes examples around 800 Scare and 900 Speed, but these are requirements shown in particular situations, not a complete universal stat chart. Higher progression can use values in the thousands, and the full area-by-area thresholds are not documented here.
Check Scare and Speed Requirements
The linked moment supports the section's examples of visible Scare and Speed requirements for progression.
Reading Scare Chance correctly
Scare Chance is a target-specific decision signal, not a permanent account percentage. One observed neighbor showed 75%, but that does not mean every neighbor has a 75% chance or that the number stays unchanged. Treat the value shown after approaching and knocking as the useful value for that attempt.
The practical rule is to improve Scare when the displayed chance is poor, then recheck the target. If the chance is acceptable but the run back to Base is dangerous, invest in Speed instead. Successful runs produce packages that can be processed by Minions; the resulting items can be sold for Money to fund the next training or equipment purchase.
What is not documented
The available evidence does not establish a complete formula for Scare Chance, exact stat gains per training action, full Costume or Aura prices, or every Neighborhood threshold. It also does not provide a complete named list of all equipment tiers. Use the values shown in your server as the decisive check when a target, item, or area presents a requirement.
FAQ
Does Speed increase Scare Chance?
The evidence separates the two roles: Speed supports movement, escape, and progression gates, while Scare supports frightening neighbors. Do not assume a Speed upgrade directly increases the displayed Scare Chance.
Should I buy a Costume or a Speed Aura?
Buy a Costume when Scare is holding back the next neighbor. Buy a Speed Aura when movement, an area requirement, or the return trip is holding you back. Their exact prices and complete bonuses are not documented here, so compare the in-game purchase preview before spending Money.
Why did a successful scare still fail to pay off?
Frightening the neighbor and completing the package run are separate parts of the loop. You still need enough Speed to escape pursuit and return the Package to Base, where Minions can process it.
